Bass Fishing For Hogs

Site Search

Hello Neighbor,

I'm glad you stopped by to learn some of my Fishing Techniques and Tips to land the big one...the Bass Hog.

My proven knowledge will give you the best chance to go after the monster that you have only heard about and seen in pictures. Now, it's your turn to hold up the trophy for the camera. I say camera because practicing Catch and Release is the best way to go with bass fishing. If I'm ready to eat some fish, it's time to open up my bags of tricks to pull in a few crappie, catfish, bream or I go to Captain D'S.

Take a picture and measure the fish length wise and around the belly and then turn it loose for another battle another day. I have seen replicas made from picture that look better than the real fish.

bass-8lbs-4ozGrab a cup of coffee and stay awhile to learn more about catching the Hog then add my web site as a favorite because I'll be adding more bass fishing techniques and tips, equipment reviews, tips out of Steve's tackle Box, and what's happening in the live and artificial bait department.

In my part of the country, we are blessed to have numerous lakes and ponds in the Mid South area within three hours of Memphis, Tennessee to pursue the excitement of outsmarting and catching the elusive bass hog.

While I love just getting out on the water and enjoying nature like many of you do as well, I'm always on the hunt to find and fight the monster bass hog to see who'll wind up the winner in the battle. In between landing the big ones, you'll find me catching the small mouth bass too. They put up a whale of a fight and most times they fight harder than the hogs.

Actually, I live to get out on the water. There is nothing better than cruising the lake to look for the right place to drop the hook and wait for that massive strike.

Bass Fishing Factors

Where do they hang out? What time of day is the best time to try for the hog? Do weather fronts affect the fishing?

Many factors will contribute to and play a factor in your success.

Using the right bait rig, proper casting techniques, correct water temperatures, analyzing the lake's terrain and structures, how to troll and even down to your boating techniques all play major roles in creating the right combination of factors to increase your chances of going home smiling and keep the wife from saying "You never catch anything big".

Visit the different sections of my website to learn more about each of these factors that will contribute to your success and the factors that, in my opinion, do not play a role in landing a Bass Hog.

I'm always trying out new bait rigs, different fishing equipment and writing new fishing articles so keep coming back to read my recommendations on what actually works.

My articles and web site information cover the sport of fishing which includes fishing tips, stories and fishing awareness programs such as "Take a Kid Fishing", Fishing For The Physically Challenged Population, Take A Senior Citizen Fishing and "Let's Get The Lead Out".

I'll also be providing any information about government regulations and fees that impact and prevent anglers of all ages from fishing.

Get out there and land your Bass Hog Today!
