Do Bass Talk To You

Do Bass Talk To YouFor many years I have been like every other fishing person, been too busy fishing to stop and listen to what the bass were telling me.

How many times have you been fishing and when you were reeling in you saw a Bass come up and then turn his nose up at your bait and swim away? He is telling you that you’re close to what he is looking for but maybe not the right color or size.

This is when you go to the tackle box and find maybe another color and size and see if that does the trick.

I have been in the back of some boats and the guy in the front was killing me. He would catch seven or eight to my one. I had seen what he was throwing and had the same color on but the bait I was using was maybe an inch longer.

Listen to what the Bass are telling you. On this day, we were both throwing shad color hard bait and I was getting more than my partner was and he just came right out and asked what are you doing that I am not. I showed him my bait and I had stripes on my bait and he had spots. Something this small can make all the difference in the world.

We were fishing another day, and here is another example to where the Bass are Talking. Are you Listening?

We were using soft plastic worms and the guy I was fishing with was making four cast to my one. Why was I catching them and he could not even get a bite? The Bass wanted the worm slowed way down and that gave them a chance to look it over.

Put the napkin around their neck, get out the fork and knife and move up to the table for a dinner. After about half the day I thought I would clue my partner in on what I thought was wrong and when he slowed down he started catching Bass.

There are so many things that you can do to improve your chances in catching those Hogs.
