Pickwick Lake - Pickwick Pines Resort

Pickwick Lake - Pickwick Pines Resort

Want a piece of Heaven early? I got the place for you. Pickwick Pines Resort is a new enterprise founded in the late 2001 by David McMeans.

The Resort is located on Highway 350, just 2 Miles North of Highway 25. The Resort is situated on 160 acres atop Mississippi's Second Highest Point in the State. See, I told you that it is close to Heaven.

There is a additional 340 acres for future expansion. The Resort offers 7,500 Square Foot resort, Swimming pools, double-lighted tennis courts, nature trails, and so much more.

The Pickwick Lake resort also provides a Boat, ATV and mini storage units for a minimal fee to all the homeowners.

Pickwick Pines Resort opened a 14,000 SQ Ft Family Activities Center in 2006 that features a full-body workout gym, tanning beds, auditorium, conference rooms and more.

The whole concept is to offer adults and retirees a more relaxing enviroment with the availability of planned activities for families, children and the grandkids.

The homes range in size from 600 to 3,500 square feet, and I have been in all the models. I can promise you that they are built great and the layout of each and every one is perfect.

Golf carts are used mostly inside the community so no loud cars running up and down the street and each one has a view that you will die for.

While I was visiting Lee Ann who is part of the sales team at Pickwick Pines (what a sweetheart), she escorted my Dad and and I around the property and showed us the different models; I would not have wanted anyone else.

Pickwick Pines Resorts Area Attractions and Amenities Include:

Pickwick Lake and the Tennessee River

Boating, Fishing, and some of the best Hunting

Restaurants ( and I must recommend a must stop is the RIB SHACK)

Shopping

4 Area Golf Course

Beauty Salon and Day Spa

Shiloh National Military Park

TVA (see where the southern states get their electricity from)

Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash in common areas.

If you are like me here in Memphis, I can not wait to get away from all the high taxes. I will be leaving a $3,000 a year tax bill behind for one around $350.00 a year.

The utilities are not bad either. I was shown a water bill and this depends on how much water you use, but still $10.00 to $15.00 a month compared on what it cost me at my present home is definitely a deal. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

Did I mention you are only 10 minutes from putting the boat in the water and going fishing?

One thing that you must know if fishing Pickwick Lake, the lake borders three states: Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama.

Pickwick Pines can be a home or a vacation get-away, but most of all it is like I have said; it is the closest thing to Heaven as you can get to here on earth.

If you are interested, contact the Resort and ask for Lee Ann to set up a time to go there next weekend to be showed around. See if I am not right.

Tell her Steve told me about this place and I just had to come check it out.
