Which Fish Attractants Land The Bass
Hogs
I can not recall how many
times I am asked what is the best Fish Attractant to use and
when do I use them?
I have attached what I carry,
and my answer is always use fish attractant when you want that
Big Bass Hog to hit your lure.

I just read a article where a
guy said that he spread Smelly Jelly on his hands before handling
any baits that he planned on throwing.
You have got to think about it
a little but it will come to you, what I mean is when you eat
your lunch, or snack like them little weiners...That might not
be the best thing to use to try and catch MR. Bass Hog. The
smell from the food now on your hands is transferred when you
re-a-just your bait.
Smokers beware...I showed at a
show what happens after smoking. I handled a worm that I was
throwing in the tank and I mean the fish did not pay any
attention to it, even if I dropped it on their nose.
That goes for gasoline also.
You could have filled the boat up and got some gas or oil on
your hands and I know that neither would taste good to me and
can ensure you MR. Bass Hog thinks the same.
I later covered my hands with garlic and they
went right after it.
What fish attractant should you
use?
I guess the best way to define
this would be to watch the lake and if the shad are up on top
and the Bass are busting them, use any type that has a shad and
garlic smell to it.
In the early spring, I like
using crawfish attractant, because that is what the Bass will
be keying on.
I do not care what part of the
U.S. you are in; that holds to be true no matter where you are
fishing.
Tip: I am always looking to
save a few bucks when fishing and this is got to sound crazy
but the next time you go into the sporting goods store to
buy some BANG GARLIC spray look what you are paying.
Then go to your local food
store and pick up a can of PAM with GARLIC and look at the
difference in the price. I just saved you at least $3.00, and I
promise it will do the same as that $5 or $6 can of BANG GARLIC
spray.
